PROJECTS Fundraising for Hurricane Relief in Haiti Haiti Incinerator Project - Info HCDP Wins 2007 Grant from Fund for Columbia County Annual International Community Dinner and Cultural Festival |
HCDP WILL USE GRANT TO START COMMUNITY CENTER Funds totaling $20,000 received from the Presbyterian Committee on the Self Development of People will be used to create a center to be used by the Haitians and other groups. Up until now, the HCDP has been using the church basement for their activities including, immigrant services, ESOL, advocacy and cultural activities. The advantage of having a community center is that people won't think that the HCDP is restricted to church members. |
